    ESPRIT DE CORPS IS FOUNDED

    Esprit de Corps is founded by Gilles Barbot, a former elite-level athlete.

    Esprit de Corps Group is management consulting company that develops performance habits among individuals and corporate teams through an exhaustive training program comprised of workshops and Challenges.

  • 2004

    “ESPRIT DE CORPS’ CHALLENGES”

    Esprit de Corps develops a methodology that aims at optimizing human performance in companies by improving the level of commitment among employees.

    The methodology is called Esprit de Corps Challenges and is based on management tools and sport techniques.

  • 2006

    THE FOUNDATION

    The Esprit de Corps Foundation was founded in 2006 by Mr. Gilles Barbot. The Foundation is a non-profit organization that enables underprivileged individuals to carry out athletic feats. However, these feats are not accomplished individually; individuals must commit to a team and look at their teammates to achieve the Challenge together.

    Many have supported the Foundation’s cause by embarking on Challenges that brought them from hiking the Mt. Washington Presidential Range to running from Montreal to New York City.

  • 2008

    THE LONGEST CHALLENGE : CYCLING ACROSS CANADA

    Agropur employees take on the Challenge of biking across Canada. They cycled for 7 days from the East Coast to the West Coast. This Challenge represented the longest Challenge ever organized by Esprit de Corps as 6000 km were covered.

    CERTIFIED ELITE HEALTHY ENTERPRISE

    Esprit de Corps is accredited an Elite Healthy Enterprise. This certification is awarded to companies who include the following as part of their corporate culture: healthy lifestyle habits, work-life balance, healthy business practices and prevention and safety measures.

    PWC RUNS MONTREAL – NEW YORK

    10 PWC associates ran for 3 days from Montreal to New York City.

  • 2009

    POMERLEAU CLIMBS MT. WASHINGTON

    30 top managers from the construction company Pomerleau hiked Mt. Washington in November 2009.

  • 2010

    AWARDED GOLD PRIZE BY THE NATIONAL QUALITY INSTITUTE

    Esprit de Corps is awarded Gold in in the category of "Best Healthy Workplace". The prize is in recognition of our dedication to programs, principles and practices which favor healthy work environments.

  • 2010

    POMERLEAU BREAKS THE RECORD

    Pomerleau hires the services of Esprit de Corps to organize a Cycling Challenge for 100 of its employees. The goal was to cycle from its office in Ottawa to its offices located in Montreal, Quebec City, Saint-Georges and Haliax! They covered more than 1,500 km in June 2010.

    TV SHOW WITH CHANTAL LACROIX: MLLE COURT

    Esprit de Corps had the privilege to collaborate with Chantal Lacroix on the TV show "Court".  The was comprised of 14 episodes that followed 8 ordinary women who took on the extraordinary challenge of running from Montreal to Quebec City and back to Montreal, in less than 70 hours!

  • 2012

    A NEW SET OF PSYCHOMETRICS TOOLS

    Esprit de Corps has developed new psychometric tools in collaboration with Dr. Emmanuel Poirel, Ph.D. in Educational Psychology at the Montreal University.  These tools will allow EDC to evaluate services rendered and distinguish EDC as an expert in the field of management consulting.

    7TH EDITION OF THE MONTREAL-NEW-YORK CHALLENGE: MORE THAN 100 RUNNERS !

    For the first time in the history of the Montreal-New-York Challenge more than 130 people have signed up to support the Foundation’s cause. Local celebrities such as Georges Laraque, Karine Champagne, Alexandra Diaz and Corinne Jean are undertaking this Challenge. Not only are there more than 100 runners but more than 500 people will run the first 10 km with the participants.
